Ray Marine Inspections conducts independent On- and Off-Hire Condition Surveys to document the condition of a vessel at the commencement and completion of a charter period. These surveys provide an objective record of the vessel’s condition and help establish a clear baseline for comparison between on-hire and off-hire inspections.
This section provides a general overview of the vessel and outlines the specific parts and areas that will be surveyed. The inspection will include, but is not limited to, the cargo areas, hull, hatch covers, forecastle, aft castle, main deck, weather deck, bridge front, and machinery spaces. In addition, a review of the vessel’s statutory and class certification will be carried out, including the relevant issue and expiry dates. The survey is intended to give an overall impression of the condition of the vessel at the time of inspection.
